Pilot

Most fleets do not switch everything at once, and they should not have to. We start with one depot or car park, agree up front what a good result looks like, and run it with you. Then you decide.

A row of electric vehicle chargers in a car park

Low risk

Built so trying it costs you little

Your chargers stay yours

jump.ac works with OCPP-compliant chargers from different manufacturers. They can be connected to another OCPP backend at any time, so nothing ties you to us.

One site to start

The pilot runs on one depot or car park. The rest of your fleet keeps charging the way it does today until you have seen results.

Goals written down first

You decide what success looks like before we start, and we review against it at the end.

You talk to the people who build it

Your contact is one of our two founders. Questions and changes do not go through a ticket queue.

How it works

Five steps from one site to a decision

  1. 1

We look at one site together

Vehicles, shift times, the chargers you have or plan, and the spare capacity on your grid connection. The grid check gives a first answer in two minutes.

  2. 2

    You set the goals

Before anything is connected we write down what a good result is for you, for example every vehicle charged before the first shift, the site under its grid limit, or charging cost per vehicle.

  3. 3

We connect and set up charging

Your installer puts in any new chargers. We connect them to jump.ac over OCPP and set charging around your shifts and your grid limit.

  4. 4

    We run it with you

For the period we agree, we watch every session, follow up on faults and check in with you regularly. We share what we see with you as we go.

  5. 5

    You decide

We look at the goals together. If they are met, we plan the next sites. If not, you know exactly why, and the chargers stay yours.

FAQ

Questions about a pilot

How long does a pilot run?

We agree the length with you. It should be long enough to cover your normal shifts, your busiest days and at least one monthly cost report.

What does a pilot cost?

We quote per pilot after a first call, based on the number of chargers and what you want us to run. You know the price before anything starts.

Do we need new chargers?

Not if your chargers support OCPP, which most current models from the main manufacturers do. If you need new ones, we help you choose and your installer puts them in.

Which fleets is a pilot for?

Fleets with vehicles that come back to the same depot or car park, such as care services, delivery and service vans, pool cars and car sharing. One site with a handful of chargers is enough to start.

What happens after the pilot?

If the goals are met, we plan the next sites with you. If you decide not to continue, your chargers keep working with another OCPP backend and you keep the reports.

Pick the site to start with

Tell us about one depot or car park: how many vehicles, when they leave and what chargers are there. We reply within one working day.
